About Us

My name is Ashlan Bishop, a SC native fiber artist with a focus on needle-felted wool art pieces.

I’m affectionately known around town as “the ghost lady.” My needle-felted wool art allows folks to keep the spirit of Halloween going all year with sweet sheet ghosts disguised in lovely florals, prairies, and forests. I bring my love of color and whimsy to a macabre subject matter to create a little bit of light in the dark. With love and elbow grease, I enclose each piece in thrifted (mostly) vintage frames.

Needle-felting images are created by using loose, soft, wool roving and barbed needles. The wool is laid in the general shape of the desired image and then poked repetitively with the barbed needles into a piece of felt fabric.
